1. Overview
F4Stream.com respects the intellectual property of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and similar laws in other countries, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Our users upload their own videos; we do not review content before it is published. If you find a video that uses your work without permission, tell us using the procedure below.
2. Filing a takedown notice
Send your notice through the contact form with the category "Abuse / copyright report". To be valid, it must include:
- your physical or electronic signature (your full legal name is enough) as the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for them;
- a description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
-
the exact link of every video you want removed, for example
https://F4Stream.com/w/a1b2c3d4or the embed linkhttps://F4Stream.com/e/a1b2c3d4. One notice may list many links, one per line; - your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
Links of the website the video is embedded on are not enough on their own: open the player, use its share button or the address of its frame, and send us that link, so we can identify the exact video.
3. What happens next
- We review every complete notice and reply on your private ticket page and by e-mail.
- When the notice is valid, we remove the video or disable access to it. The player then shows that the video is unavailable – on our pages and on every website that embeds it.
- The uploader is informed of the removal and may send a counter-notice. The content of your notice, including your name, may be shared with them for that purpose.
- A removed video is erased from our storage after 7 days, unless a counter-notice is received in that time.
- Incomplete notices cannot be processed; we will tell you what is missing.
4. Counter-notice
If you uploaded a video that was removed and you believe this was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice by signing in and opening a ticket with the category "Abuse / copyright report". It must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the link of the removed video;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the video was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district in which F4Stream.com may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they inform us within 10 to 14 business days that they have started a court action to keep the video offline, we may restore it.
5. Repeat infringers
Every valid notice is recorded against the account that uploaded the video. Accounts that receive repeated valid notices are closed, together with all their videos, and any earnings generated by infringing videos may be withheld.
6. False claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please make sure the video really uses your work, and consider whether the use could be fair use, before you send a notice.
7. Other illegal content
For content that is illegal for another reason – abuse of minors, non-consensual intimate content, violence, private information – use the same report form. Such reports are handled with the highest priority and do not need the formal elements listed above; see also our prohibited content rules.
